  This is a great noir! Minimalistic, stylish, and bleak. The intro sets the tone immediately and I love how similar it felt to the beginning of Apocalypse Now.

  After a month of watching J Horror films during January I ended the month seeing Pulse on 35mm at the Metro!

  Very similar vibe and atmosphere to Cure, Kiyoshi Kurosawa really knows how to create a sense of dread and a bleak unnerving atmosphere where everything feels off. 

  The themes of isolation and loneliness in the internet age continue to be extremely relevant today!
