this movie is a good example of why i personally find german productions lacking so much. mysterious is rather boring, scary is rather irritating, dangerous is rather embarrassing. plus the many typically long-winded and stilted explanatory monologues.

Horse Girl 2020
Title could mislead you, because this is not an easy horse trip. Nevertheless, the difficult passages are regularly broken up by lighter moments. Score in an Enigma synth free jazz style.

As a young adult Millie B Brown now logically plays 90s injected scifi instead of 80s. Story comes from Simpsons' "Attack of the 50-Foot Eyesores" (or better from a book by S Stålenhag I haven't read). Chris Pratt does Chris-Pratt-things and Giancarlo Esposito continues his role from Community. I could name a few other references that come to mind, but...my personal highlight was using a Win95 screensaver as camouflage operation. If only Spielberg would have directed this, such a waste.
