Monster 2023
For some reason I never heard about this film since its release last year, so I went in completely blind. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least, and I believe it’s one of the better films I’ve seen this year. Baby’s first Letterboxd review! This film was beautiful, point blank. It made me think about those moments when you pause to reflect on your current life and relationships, and what life could’ve been had you made slightly different decisions. This one hit me especially hard as the main characters seem to be around the same age as me, an age when you begin to fully accept adulthood and realize that some paths in life may no longer be a possibility.
