No Direction Home: Bob Dylan 2005
The shithousery on display here from Dylan is truly admirable. His presence in the documentary exists purely to demystify the person everybody else is mythologising, with each earnest (and cynical) attempt to form a greater understanding of the artist and his art ultimately ending with him mumbling some ironically poetic zinger.

I was 17 when I first saw Inside Llewyn Davis back in 2014. Afterwards, I bought some grey fingerless gloves, a cotton scarf and a beige satchel, and I let my hair grow out a little into shaggy curls. I listened to the soundtrack on repeat, as well as other folk musicians referenced in the film, and I wrote about it in any college essay I could feasibly squeeze it into.
