    Unbelievably stupid, undeniably hilarious. Self aware shlock that absolutely flies by. This is somehow more outdated and horny than I expected for a 2006 B-movie. We needed more Bachman screen time. An absolute blast nonetheless. 

    So geed for the next 8 instalments of the EBCU.

    Apart from a nice visual style, some gnarly kills and an entertaining Theo James performance, this is pretty ass. At least it’s self aware, but doesn’t go nearly as ape shit as I would have hoped. After the very decent Long Legs, this is a disappointing follow up from Perkins.

    Twisters is surprisingly great, managing to pull off some gnarly tornado carnage and weave in compelling narrative elements and relationships between characters. I have not yet seen Minari, but Lee Isaac Chung brings a level of humanity to this story which also had some surprisingly funny moments.     I was in fact entertained.

    Epic stuff. Phenomenal gladiatorial set pieces, jaw dropping shots of Rome and delectable antique production design. Paul Mescal is fantastic here and delivers a great final speech in a very solid ending, showing more of his impressive range and star potential.
