  It's rare to use the phrase jaw dropping and mean it literally - my mouth gaped open twice during Mother. Bong Joon Ho is an evil genius. His sense of absurd humour in the darkest settings is unparalleled and his execution here is so smart. Bravo sir.

  Bit of a mess as a whole but still has the Bong Joon Ho visual magic and sense of humour which we love. Robert Pattinson gives a dynamite performance, he's flying high rn. I liked mark ruffalos performance, goofy and obvious but some good laughs. It falls down with the story though, even 20 mins from the end you're still not quite sure what this film is about. It has all the usual Bong Joon Ho themes in there but…
