The case of the third movie in the Kizumonogatari trilogy it's a bit different from the first two. Not because it doesn't rise to the occasion of rounding up the story, but because it demands some more semi-professional writing to try and explain my overwhelmingly positive feelings towards the monogatari franchise as a whole, but towards this movie in particular. Every scene feels like a rakugo showcase, performed at a truly mesmerizing and wicked and sick and devilish pace.
You're watching one thing and suddenly a knowledge bomb changes the whole conversation. You feel you have to go further than you already have; you want to know if there's anything you're missing out. In that way, it feels endless. I feel I've rewatched this movie a thousand times. How can you go back to rewatching films normally after this?
I'm pro experiments like these and I'll be keeping tabs on my friends journeys. It's a weird format and I'm glad it has finally been done, successfully so.
