"very odd, what happens in a world without children's voices"
Very brutal and graphic film, its glimmers of hope, motherhood communal and personal, and humanity shine especially bright through the rest. Glad to have watched this movie.

Pretty good, better than expected and much improved over the more conceptual original. I wish it was more explicit however, especially with the final message not being "I am enough" but rather that Riley has a rapidly shifting personality - where she may hate herself in the future. It didn't seem very well done in that regard or hopeful in its resolution. In addition it was heavy queerbaiting throughout, Riley definitely liked those girls on the team but it wasn't…
