Alien³ 1992
This did not live up to my expectations. It’s been about 20 years since I first watched it and I barely remembered anything. Now I know why.
The set up is great - Ripley crash landing on a planet which is essentially a prison. An alien has, of course, managed to hitch a ride on board their ship.
But from then on it’s a bit of a drudging, depressing film, void of any of the thrills, excitement or dread of Alien or Aliens. Such a shame.
Resurrection next… doubtful that the score will resurrect how the Alien franchise ends in terms of chronological order!
