The first scene with Frankenstein where he is curiously reaching out towards the world to try and understand what he's just been born into is so pretty. Incrediblbly sad then when he's forced to become violent to protect himself from the hatred thrown at him for being different. If he had been allowed to indulge in his natural curiosity maybe he could have lived happy.
So interesting that his initial source of torment is Fritz; someone who is more than likely also tormented for standing out from the norm. Hate breeds hate, and violence breeds violence. Bless you Frankenstein.
Fantastic movie from beginning to end. The two main characters development and emotional state being mirrored by their ordeal with the monster is 🤌. It's the kind of horror writing that should be praised, and Jordan Peele deserves all that hype he gets.
The monster itself is phenomenal. Visually it is something to behold with it's alien movements and intricate, ever changing design. The fact that it remains a strange and distant entity throughout the film is so satisfying. It's…
