In this Harold Ramis script, Bill Murray is told that Vigo the Carpathian was “poisoned, stabbed, shot, hung, stretched, disemboweled, drawn, and quartered.” Ramis's next script would have Bill Murray say that he has been “stabbed, shot, poisoned, frozen, hung, electrocuted, and burned.” Authorial self-referentiality is an art.
