So I thought it was really good, but in a weird way I feel like I don’t like what it set out to be. I can point to a lot of individual things I didn’t like so much, but ultimately it isn’t about that. It’s more experiential. And in that way it was great!
I feel the allegorical aspect isn’t something I love because it makes some things predictable and hurts the character aspect. I’d rather the characters be characters…

The Silence 1963
A perfectly poignant film to have watched at this moment in my life. Bergman is the best for all time. What a good movie. I’m happy I can connect with Bergman in our inability to connect.
Also I don’t think the minimal dialogue makes this inaccessible. The visual storytelling, open and flowing plot, and overall meaning are fantastic. Just amazing.
