I mean come on. Stop it. Give other movies a chance. Unbelievable. Achieves the impossible by exceeding the first. Possibly the most visually stunning movie ever. The soundtrack absolutely bangs. The villain was amazing and his score was spine tingling. It deals with the emotional parts incredibly well too. So many great easter eggs and references. I’ve never seen any cinema go as crazy as mine did when this movie finished. This is CINEMA.

I’m not a big fan of musicals but I love Damien Chazelle so I decided to give La La Land a chance. I never thought a movie like this would ever get 5 stars from me, but here we are. Every shot was mesmerising and so well crafted. I loved the colour palettes and what they represented. Every scene had me fully engaged and felt just as important as the next. The cinematography is astounding. The score is phenomenal. The…

Everything about this works, from the dialogue, to the acting to the non-linear storytelling. Easily the best Sam Jackson performance I’ve ever seen. The impact Pulp Fiction has had on pop culture is unbelievable and I don’t think there’s a film that can rival it in that sense. A film this good and this iconic being (in my opinion) Tarantino’s third best is a testament to his ability and a huge compliment. The only thing stopping this from being a 5 star are the scenes with Bruce Willis and his girl, it just didn’t engage me at all and felt unnecessary but everything else is unforgettable.

Fist time revisiting this since seeing it in the cinema, I just needed to remember how good this franchise was. They were never going to be able to top infinity war but they did a pretty good job. An excellent conclusion of 11 years worth of build up. Some of the best and most iconic Marvel moments/scenes ever. Hulk and Thor were done dirty though. Like I said it was an incredible conclusion but as a result it was practically the death of the MCU as we know it and unfortunately it’ll likely never be the same again.

Another Scorsese great with another phenomenal De Niro performance. Scorsese is a master of character studies and The King of Comedy is no exception. It’s very interesting that there is a joker card on the poster considering the obvious inspiration this film had on Joker. I liked the ending as it was not what I expected and was an interesting choice.

John Wick is the man. This film is so well paced, gets straight to the point and never dilly dallys around. The premise of the movie is very simple but executed well. I didn’t enjoy the music very much, this movie is epic but the music never emulated that. The final fight scene was a little odd too but overall a very solid and entertaining action flick.
