A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter 2024
Watched with the wife and we were unimpressed. There was like one funny joke the whole time and the songs were mostly just alright. Overall it didn’t really do it for us.

Surprisingly good movie. Hugh Grant is phenomenal and hilarious and I was losing it at how funny/intensely eager he was, while still being very menacing and unnerving. He was kinda like a religious Jigsaw in a way. He’s definitely the crux of the movie, but the whole thing was still quite good. Great mix of suspense and just the right amount of humor. The lead actresses also killed it, they just didn’t have as much to work with as Grant character-wise. Thatcher did a cover of Knocking on Heaven’s door that plays during the credits that I really enjoyed.

Started off a little slow, but then went off once Paul starts raiding with the Fremen and rides that sandworm (incredible scene). The more I think about this movie, the better it gets.
Paul being so afraid of going south because he knows he'll take control and start a holy war and then all the pieces coming together (destruction of Sietch Tabr, Gurney's influence, and even Chani's insistence he travel south despite being the biggest religious skeptic among the Fremen)…
