  Does some things like creature design and setting/lore really well, but ultimately ends up feeling pretty 2 dimensional due to some forced plot points.  However, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a lot of fleshing out left on the cutting room floor due to producers holding an envelope pushing film like this back a bit

  Ralph Fiennes doesn't miss, I could watch him paint a fence.  The cinematography in this elevated what could have felt like a standard political or business thriller to the divine power grab that it is.  The final twist felt a little shoe horned but the ride was well worth it.
