(Box) I really enjoyed this take on musicals, this inside look of what it can feel like to devote yourself to something that is a stepping stone and not the least piece.

The Last Five Years 2014
(Pluto) Song. Song. Song. Every other song was actually really decent. I wish we had actual dialogue at points besides 2 parts. It definitely lacked a better chronological order to everything. The story was lost because it didn’t flow together well. Every song was an attempt to figure out where within the 5 years it occurred. Anna will always have an amazing movie singing voice she’s absolutely splendid. The movie definitely invoked emotion throughout the film, but I wished I felt more connected to the characters.

Trolls Band Together 2023
(Theatre) The textures in this movie are everything, and it did develop a larger world outside of just the Bergens/Trolls! Speaking of texture, the use of orbeez as the water ways/oceans were gorgeous. The tiniest details being beautifully crafted, and incapsulated by such a large variety of textures makes this movie for me. The world building was nice, but it felt like it was done at a such a quickening pace, some thoughts weren’t flushed out.
