there were some really, really beautiful elements to this film. the score, the sweeping pictures of space, the peek into what isolation does to an individual. i enjoyed it, but it was such a surface level take on the deeper importance of human connection. tell me more about the other characters we meet!! let me see roy spend two more minutes with his dad!! get rid of those damn monkeys!! show me more and tell me less!! …

wicked was the first broadway production i saw when i was 13 years old and visiting new york city. i remember sitting in the back of the gershwin, completely in awe of what was taking place on the stage. this musical, the story, characters, songs, instilled a deep love of theatre within me.
