Garden State 2004
Watched on the plane home to Denver. Garden State was my favorite movie for a good part of my life, and I was absolutely reminded why. It talk-y and weird, Peter Sarsgaard is so good, and, of course, the soundtrack is amazing. The highlight, however, was how interesting it was to watch this over ten years after my middle-school-self first did. There are parts that don’t really hold up, the manic-pixie-girlness of Natalie Portman’s character for example. But it’s crazy…
