I feel like this story would have benefited more from a more fleshed-out tv series than a 2+ hour film. Too much was squeezed into an already lengthy time for a film. The dialogue was half copy-pasted from the 2000s films, half cheesy, predictable cliche statements. There’s potential here, and the animation is cool, but an opportunity was sorely missed.
Anyways, two and a half stars for AI Christopher Lee voice for Saruman. Because you know what? Hell yea.
