A beautiful illustration of the devastating loneliness, loss of emotional intimacy & perceived abandonment/betrayal that comes with friend breakups/losing friends to men.
The characters are so believable to the point that this could've been a documentary, shaped by the naturalistic approach to shooting as well. It's really funny in places, and just lovely throughout. If you liked Frances Ha please watch this.
Also I see no issue with fucking the rabbi.
The Simon & Garfunkel spiritual equivalent to Mamma Mia and it is excellent. There is something so comforting about desperate people doing stupid things to find some sense of purpose.
Woody Allen is a whiny little bitch and this movie just shows how in love with himself he is but even being painfully aware of all that I still love it. I just cannot deny the brilliant editing, the storytelling, the writing, and most importantly Annie. Diane is a shining shining star in this movie. I just can’t not love it.
