Mulan was what I would expect a remake to be. I have not watched the original in a long time, but I really want to now. I am sure there are differences in the two that would be interesting to see. Nevertheless, this remake, the live-action version, felt very cheesy and unrealistic. I love that A Walk to Remember does not stand out as a Christian film, but sticks to Christian values. I do not think I have seen many, if not any, films that show celibacy in a positive light. Especially since there is one person in the relationship who is not a practicing Christian from the beginning of the movie. I like how the film was like watching a comic book come to life. I thought it was funny when he could barely carry all of his school books. That scene was a visual representation of my brain on school mode. Also, the way Miles mumbles “Sunflower” by Post Malone and Swae Lee is literally everyone when that song comes on haha.
