The difference in how the US soldiers talk about their time in Somalia, versus the militiamen in Somalia personifies this whole documentary. The eagerness, enthusiasm, and gusto at which the US veterans talked about wanting to deploy and be in war, was such a stark contrast between the Somali side who simply wanted to prevent further death and destruction to their people.
