Interesting story, but the execution was a little overly-earnest in my opinion. The only thing I could think the whole time was “Mark and Anne are trying SO hard to be normal folk right now, and it’s clearly not effortless.” Love them both, but something definitely fell short.
I can also get into it need be, but to sum things up simply …. Way more boring than it needed to be. There was ample opportunity to play with the genre, but EVERY second felt part of a formula the entire time.
