tonight, i watched this breathtaking piece of art for the first time! on a big screen in 4k!! with tarsem sitting on the row in front of me!!! the whole thing was so surreal and he was nice enough to stay and answer some of our questions afterwards.

what a gem this is. i don’t even know what to say about it besides it being an extremely impactful one for me. there’s life before the fall (2006) and then there’s life after the fall (2006). no notes

took a while to fully grip me, but makes a very solid and indisputable third(?) addition to the stinky josh o’connor cinematic universe™

delightfully delinquent, deliberately delicate, deliciously delirious. daisies (1966) was so interesting to look at and — while being somewhat disjointed and lacking a clearly discernible plot — i loved watching these young women incontrovertibly deliver some incredible physical comedy performances. it’s a poignantly satirical work of art that [1] so clearly was a product of its historical and societal context and [2] undeniably has kept its cultural relevance and sense of contemporariness since its conception almost six decades ago

“i’m kinda psychic. i have a fifth sense.”

happy Mean Girls Day to all who celebrate! the fact that this movie averages more than one (1) culturally significant moment per minute is pretty wild (and a major testament to tina fey’s writing). it has an iconic script, soundtrack & cast, and don’t even get me started on the fashion / aesthetic!

p.s. rachel mcadams can step on me
