    Ah yes, the apparently now annual Macbeth pro-shot distributed by Trafalgar Releasing at AFI.

    I had a lot of fun watching it, though Ralph and Indira’s (unabridged) version was definitely the better production. I was mildly concerned to see a runtime under two hours. Not nearly enough Cush Jumbo (especially when thinking about how Indira truly stole their show as Lady Macbeth).

    Though that didn’t insert a comedy routine with crowd work from The Porter a third of the way…

    I can’t believe AMC played the September 5 trailer (as the final one of the reel!) before this lmao

    Favorite fictional and documentary shorts were probably “No Signal” and “Sorry Cinema”, respectively. Those are very early on, but make no mistake, every single short offered something I deeply appreciated. Often heartbreaking and inspiring collection of activist art. I’m glad it gathered a near sold-out audience at our screening this evening. Watch No Other Land too while you’re at it.
