  I usually enjoy Bong Joon Ho's movies, but this one missed the mark. It's just not as clever as his other films, and I felt like it switched too much and too quickly between lackluster comedy and overt social commentary.   ★★★★★ Rewatched 23 Feb 2025

  I don’t have any funny quips. I really just love this movie for being both an amazing blend of sci-fi and horror and for being a great display of technical mastery. I don’t want to downplay the artistry with a lame joke—I’m saving that for Alien: Covenant.
