When I first watched this movie, my criticism towards it was that this was another bland representation of Asian people as these high socialites, creating unrealistic expectations for Asian people once again... and while part of me still feels that way, after rewatching it years later, I think I have finally understood it. (And yes, we take points off for Awkwafina and her unfunny blaccent… Are there not any other Asian actresses in Hollywood?)
