On Becoming a Guinea Fowl 2024
I cannot BELIEVE this is Chardy’s first role! She was incredible! Actually, much of the cast had no previous roles and I couldn’t tell at all! Very compelling acting all around.
Something about the shots and storytelling felt unique and awesome, but I don’t know enough about film to articulate it. It didn’t feel predictable in any way.
I loved that they didn’t overexplain Zambian culture. We were just there, immersed.
Sometimes it felt a little too on the nose.…
