The Last Showgirl 2024
This was something!
I liked Pamela Anderson’s performance a lot; and she got across the complexity of the emotions her character was feeling, particularly in the latter half.
I just… wanted more from the plot, and maybe a bit more development of the relationship (or lack thereof) between Shelley and Hannah.
The concept is interesting, the cinematography is good. I don’t know that I’d watch it again, though.

Legend of Ruby Sunday - 4/5
Really enjoyed, buildup to Sutekh was good.
Empire of Death - 1.5/5Just did not work for me. Jumped all over the place and missed the tone on how serious a villain Sutekh is. His “death” was too cheap and easy - there were no stakes for the Doctor whatsoever. Cringe writing, rushed emotional scenes and a broader lack of “bang”.
Once again, sadly, Russell fails to stick the landing.
