Charmimg movie. I’m so glad rom-coms are returning to this era of style.
Some flaws in the screenplay and the last montage was sappy, but generally very nice (but not surreal).

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
What was fulfilling about this movie was that it wasn’t fulfilling. We didn’t get the justice we wanted and we were also widely made to feel for the abuser. But it felt real in a way that didn’t make sense in the heightened reality of the stylized storytelling.
Pretty devastating because we felt like he could have reformed and all the more devastating because he didn’t.
