Whilst Nova Lituania is a film which is extremely embedded in the specifics of the Lithuanian national experience in the 1930s, it also deserves a place - I think - in the growing gallery of 'non-Climate Change Climate Change' pictures. This was indeed my first response to the film that wasn't about Lithuania and came about after the scene in which Feliksas Gruodis and the Prime Minister visit the beach where "even the sea is taking our land."
