  I really liked this movie, but I don’t think it was the best picture of the year. To me everything was close to perfect. It did really well in a lot of different ways but it didn’t excel in any one way. Also, has Ivan ever actually played a video game before?

  Everything about this film is perfect. The best way to describe it is as a combination of impossibilities. Every scene captures this beautifully indistinct feeling of heart ache. Every color feels so vibrant yet dull. Every moment lasts forever but at the same time only a second. Even the score is happy and sad in its own melancholic way. Internally, it leaves you conflicted. This is one of those times where the credits roll and you just sit there in wonder. Eventually the screen turns black, but you don’t even notice.
