Not enough shirtless scenes from the male protagonist! Jk… but also not jk

What a classic. Loved the atmospheric vibes with the chilling score. I just felt it was a little long and not enough manic scenes from our main protagonist. Overall a great film from the infamous house!

The demonic voices, bloody walls & eye glow scene was creepy!!

Not bad but not good either. I felt like it was trying to decide which cliche trope it wanted to be but said “fuck it”. I like that it kept me on my toes of where it was going but overall it felt dull. Even the after credit clip felt meh.

    Misleading title…

Yay for a quick gay sex scene & that our main protagonist didn’t turn away in disgust and actually saw it like a normal thing.

I would say watch it for the sake of saying you seen it but then sigh at the fact that it had potential.

Fede Álvarez’s Alien: Romulus is a love letter to the fans of the Alien franchise with doing a great job of staying true to the story and adding his own flare to it. We were given anxiety inducing sequences where even I held my breath, nods / Easter eggs to Alien, Prometheus and Covenant, especially Prometheus since it was hated by so many people so now you have to accept it. I love how deadly the face huggers and Xenomorphs…

With a runtime of one hour, I was scared they weren’t going to get their story across and wrap it up. This was actually a good low budget found footage movie. It definitely has potential to be a full length movie or part of an anthology. It has creep factor and it definitely flips the story halfway through in a brilliant way that was very reminiscent to the V/H/S franchise. I was thoroughly entertained and wanted more.
