4 and a half stars for being the first batman movie to properly acknowledge that batman and the joker ARE lovers and they shouldn’t be afraid to admit it.
not 5 stars though because i will never fully 100 percent love ANYTHING that makes bruce like barbara. no, just no. but a STRONG, RESOUNDING yes to literally everything else in this movie. if this was less focused on being a kid comedy (not an insult, i love it for what it is) it would probably be the best batman movie full stop.
