  Just look at this film! How could you not love it? Everything is over the top. The perfomances, the dialog, the dancing, the sets and colors and shot composition. It's more Vegas than Vegas, as Verhoeven said. It definitely got short-thrift when it came out. It's a gorgeous film. People didn't know how good they had it back then.

  Interesting but not as suprising as I was led to beleive. Maybe I'm just jaded due to the current political landscape. Still a good doc, though.

  The amount of imagination and craft that went into this is unbeleivable. It's the story of a would-be fur trapper trying to make it in the wilds, but told through the lens of Buster Keaton, Looney Tunes, and Guy Maddin.

  It's a winning combo when you have some incredible talent on set and in the editing room.

  Alien: Romulus 2024

  It's good to be back inside a wet spaceship again.

  This has some questionable plot points, especially after the first act. But the vibes are right. Lived in down-and-dirty sci-fi with some effective horror and creature effects. Cool sound and lighting. Loved the world-building in the first act. Maybe it leans a bit too hard into pastiching the originals, but I had a good time.

  Easily the third best Alien film.
