    So that's what happened to Colbert!

    Clever premise and very well executed. Someone described it as Network crossed with The Exorcist and that's about right.

    Dastalmachian earns it with his portrait of fictitious late night variety show host, Jack Delroy. The attention to period detail makes the found footage hook work. Perhaps most importantly, the Cairnes brothers are able to sell the premise because they're treating the demonic realm as a terrifying reality.

    Respectable.

    The filmmakers will never admit it, but films like this are by default stories of man seeking divine grace. The decision to make this a double themed narrative of sobriety and deafness was a little false advertising but it certainly didn't derail the film.
