Alien: Romulus 2024
Really enjoyed this. The set design and effects were cracking and the story works well enough as a vehicle for the action, which was really well conceived and directed. Tense and gripping, glued to the screen type stuff. Great soundtrack.
The constant callbacks to the original Alien and fan service moments were a bit annoying, but I didn't watch it recently enough for it to properly spoil the fun.
There was no need for Ian Holm to be in it.
