  I haven‘t watched this in a while, in fact I only remember watching this as a teen and really enjoying the feelings and thoughts it evoked. It wasn‘t so much the story, the acting or overall concept. It was more a vibe to connect with that seemingly cold and soulless void (mostly) that is the universe. A contact, almost akin to a human touch, warm and familiar.

  I‘d rather cut off my thumbs, cook them in butter and give them to a cat, for this film does not deserve a gestured rating in any form. Perhaps it was the arduous length, obsolete rape scenes or that I only had popcorn to eat today which made me feel sick but I have a genuine distaste for this film.

  I think Cat Person starts conceptually strong with an interesting play on expectations vs. reality in the modern dating life.
  It focuses on the perspective of Margot as a female-read younger person that is dating the generic Robert (aka Cousin Greg, aka the incel guy). Both have a lot expectations but for Margot the situation is way more dangerous.
  The film tends to lose its grip during the second half and starts to become increasingly incoherent.
