Gladiator II 2024
A sequel is always going to suck, but this didn’t suck as much. Some of my VFX friends are just nerds and will talk about visual issues but damn this movie was entertaining and is just a classic Hollywood blockbuster! Sharks in a Roman coliseum that’s not accurate- said every lame film nerd. Just enjoy the movie.

Just what you want in a movie called Gladiator. Everyone squirts sexual juices over the soundtrack, and I couldn’t agree more. The cinematography in this really created its own look for a movie. Russel crow is quite plump these days but in this he really killed it. Hard work and talent just proves why this guy is still around.

The Bridge 2006
Possibly the darkest documentary I have ever seen. Having said that, an incredible insight into the mystery and complexity of suicide. Having had a family member succumb to this tragedy, this documentary gives you hope and answers questions you may have had. There are stories from individuals and family’s will melt you down and bring you back to earth. Please be careful you are in the right mindset when you watch it and be sure you come out having learned something rather than coming out upset.

The Creator 2023
From the director of Rogue One, brings an incredible looking movie. The sets, to the effects and costumes were incredible. Story was a little over played, with tropes that I am tired of seeing in Sci-Fi movies but great to see an original screen play be used for a big block buster. Alison Janney kills it as always. The blend of special effects and human faces was stellar. I saw it in IMAX, which I highly suggest doing.
