Annihilation 2018
Lovecraftian horror is something you don't often come across in films, as attempting to visualise things as ambiguous as the genre demands is tough, not many films in the past have managed to pull it off. However annilhation does a proper great effort at it. Partially due to the excellent source material, and Alex Garland being a big donny, it's incredibly unnerving, with some absolutely harrowing moments of pure dread.
