baumbach’s comedy is a life affirming journey through a succession of sketches that point towards funny and interesting ideas on death.
Though i would usually kill for ad i was unconvinced by his role as the professor. gg was amazing though.
language chooses to be poetic over immersive, perhaps taken too accurately from delillo’s novel ( i don’t know i haven’t read it, shouldn’t matter though). could maybe be persuaded to like this highfalutin style but find it quite annoying…

romantic crime drama or noir (black in french) that won palm d’or this year for best director about a detective whose investigations move sinuously around a romantic pursuit. particularly admired the fast-moving density of beautiful shots, dominos that make up the rhythm of great twists. i particularly liked the bit where she asked him to mirror her breath ( i do this often to close ones without them knowing).
