1984 Oscar winner for best short documentary. I am currently working on a short documentary with similar subject matter, that seems to be discussing some of the very same issues that plague these stone carvers in 1984, it's interesting to see how despite the fact 41 years has gone by since this documentary was released that many of these problems or decline in craft and quality still exist and/or have become more pressing. This may have been the most fun I've had in a theater in a long time. What's not to love about this movie?!?! The soundtrack is incredible, the ensemble cast is so much fun, and so so so many great quotes from this one. God. I wished I'd seen this sooner, but sitting in an audience watching this with a full crowd was so much fun, and feels like the perfect way to…
