  Great cinematography, great acting; especially by Colette, and great writing. Why the 2 star rating then? Well... let’s just say I hated this movie. It felt like 5 hours long. Pacing was atrocious.   This might sound controversial but I'm not the biggest fan of Denzel, however, I found his performance in this outstanding. I think this is a very solid movie. An excellent story with good writing and great performances. The pacing is a bit off in the first act in my opinion as it takes a while to get going, but apart from that a very solid watch. Another nitpick might be its lack of originality. This is a very popular genre and I don't think this movie does enough to really distinguish itself from other films such as Scarface and Goodfellas.

Following
