Really wanted to love it and it’s probably why I didn’t.
There’s irony in a film about a Bauhaus architect being so unnecessarily bloated.
I thought Adrien Brody was amazing and the pace and build up of the film was great up to the Intermission. Felicity Jones played the character well but I felt her casting was a little weird.
Guy Pierce’s dialogue was terrible, his conversations with Brody in the beginning as ‘intellectually stimulating’ were especially jarring
But overall…
