    Mickey 17

    ★★★★½

Mickey 17 is a very silly & entertaining sci fi film with on the nose (not as a bad thing) political messaging. The glimpse into the ethical implications of recloning a man who dies on suicide missions for research purposes is fascinating. The average man going against the oppressive, fascist regime is fascinating. I was glued to my seat the entire 137 minute runtime.

Robert Pattinson continues to prove he’s a generational actor. He’s easy to root for, relatable, & the pain…

    Chris Rock: Selective Outrage

I like Chris Rock. I think he is a funny dude and has done some good shit in his career, but this just wasn't his night. All his jokes fell flat and the stand up is practically just Rock whining about cancel culture. Thankfully, since it is a stand up this is mercifully short. Also, the bad jokes don't hurt too bad since Rock is so naturally charismatic, made it an easier pill to swallow.
