  Wow, this is genuinely way better than I remember it. Granted, I did watch it in theaters with the Kupcek twins screwing around in the row in front of me, as well as an emo couple making out and swearing in the row behind. So that may have slightly tainted my experience, but upon a rewatch, I’ve concluded that this film has great shots, good performances, and an all-around complex and well-rounded story with lots of details and “aha” moments…

  Visually, this is one of the most stunning films ever made. The moment Schofield runs across the battlefield something shifts. For me, that moment is when 1917 elevated to a five-star film. Because it’s a culmination and encapsulation of the message of the film in one beautiful shot. This is one of the rare films that earns a place among those that have made my allergies act up. It’s so good.

  The Dark Knight Rises 2012

  The Dark Knight Rises is officially, beyond the shadow of a doubt, better than The Dark Knight. Batman Begins is gay retardation and is honestly not even needed. His origin was clearly communicated well enough in the next two movies to completely nullify the need for Batman Begins. But anyway, back to the main point—The Dark Knight Rises is the best Batman movie, and Bane delivered the best Batman villain performance.

  Bane has the most powerful villain performance of the franchise. And Anne Hathaway is infinitely better than that stupid, lesbian, short-haired, ugly lesbian chick they used in the one with the guy from Twilight.
