Mathieu Kassovitz perfectly portrays the effects of racism and hatred towards immigrants within France in La Haine, the use of the clock throughout the duration of the film is very clever as it gives a sense of time running out for Said, Vinz and Hubert while keeping the viewer engaged at all times. Although, the film is a true reflection of reality; Kassovitz utilises the different personality traits of the three main characters which provides another dimension to the storyline…
