  Alien Resurrection is a stupid fucking film, but I really really liked it. Worlds better than Alien³.

  There's definitely some 'so bad it's funny' elements but honestly I think it just comes down to suspending your disbelief in some regards. I think I liked this even more because Alien³ was so mid that it lowered my expectations, so with that in mind, Resurrection is a lot better than I was expecting.

  Alien 3 is a film that I'm kind of baffled even exists. I knew people were very mixed on it before I watched it but I had no idea why as I'm just getting into this franchise and am avoiding spoilers like the plague.

  I went into this film fully aware of how highly praised and acclaimed it is, and in spite of that I am still astounded by how amazing it was.

  This film is a great example of how 'conciseness' doesn't mean being short. Oppenheimer is three hours long and yet not a minute feels wasted. I've seen two hour films that felt twice as long as Oppenheimer does, and that's because it is concise.
