  didn’t connect with this one emotionally as potent as i think some have, but just on a structural level the pacing is so well done and the challenges in certain scenes the director gives to the main actor i think are done so wonderfully, super inspiring piece for filmmakers and story-tellers

  a definite contender for some of the most lived-in characters ive met on screen, it truly feels like there is no daniel day-lewis or vicky krieps, they don’t exist because it feels like a documentary of real people with specific ways, expressions and vocabulary of people who pre-exist the events of the film.

  Truly inspiring, the pure artistic vision is just phenomenal - at the same time as it being incredibly fun, accessible to all ages, funny and satisfying for each characters plot as well as the general quality direction - it still felt like for an hour and a half I was watching Van Gogh or Da Vinchi creating, composing and directing a true piece of art, every scene brought so much delicate delight it was almost overwhelmingly beautiful, it just felt like the purest form of passion.

  (people are right though the dialogue is a bit iffy, nowhere near as memorable as literally every other aspect).
