I didn’t take much from this. I had complete disconnect with the characters but also an emotional disconnect to the whole thing. It’s not bad, I just don’t think it succeeds in what it was trying to do, not for me anyway.

The Brutalist 2024
I wouldn’t say I disliked it, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that other films have tackled similar themes in a more satisfying way, with a tighter edit. I’d be open to rewatching it at some point, as I don’t think I was in the right mood when I first saw it. That said, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed.
